09/28/2014 You should keep DellSystemDetect in startup if you want to easily be able to find driver updates on Dell's Support website, however, you can simply launch it manually before visiting the site so it's good to have but it's certainly not necessary to have it at startup each time.

06/13/2014 You should keep DellSystemDetect in startup if you if you visit Dell's Website all the time to get updates. However, there is no real need to have it start on start up or to run all the time.
