12/19/2011 You should keep CNET TechTracker installed if you want to keep your installed programs updated. A bit buggy (false positives and unacknowledged updates), but useful.

09/05/2013 You should keep CNET TechTracker installed if you don't mind its inaccuracies. Half the time it tells you there are updates available for certain software titles, and 20 minutes of hair pulling later you discover you already have the latest versions or the update somehow doesn't apply. Even if you download off CNet's site, then rescan, it will say there is an newer version available. 50% of the time it's a waste of time.

08/17/2013 You should keep CNET TechTracker installed if you can't keep track of necessary occasional program updates. But TechTracker is usually incorrect about the need for an update and can be aggravating. It is also awash in advertising, often fooling you into clicking on a totally seperate download link than what you are trying to update.

05/03/2013 You should keep CNET TechTracker installed because it is probably the easiest & simplest way to keep your software (programs-not Windows) up to date. TechTracker scans for outdated programs & gives you the options to download & install updates for you.
