09/07/2011 You should not keep Proxy in startup because this provides ZERO benefit to computer owner, and is yet ANOTHER piece of the b.s. MS Experience Spying Program. The "Opt-Out" Option is a JOKE since even if you opt-out, multiple related services and components CONTINUE TO Actively RUN regardless of any user settings you may try. The only was to stop it is to remove each piece.

09/07/2011 You should not keep Proxy in startup because it "collects data from the user if opted-in for the Microsoft Customer Experience Improvement program." Any kind of data taken from your personal computer is an invasion on your own privacy.

11/03/2011 You should keep Proxy in startup if you don't mind sending data to Microsoft. I'm on the fence with this one. Currently I have it turned off because I'm trying to keep start ups at a minimum

12/30/2016 You should not keep Proxy in startup because It is a program that does nothing more than run in the background and collect data from your computer and send to microsoft. Not needed for any computer functionality at all.
